Pannenkoeken
This is a classic Dutch package. It is thicker than an French crepe but not fluffy. It can be made with sweet or savory ingredients. This version is savory and is made with Ham, cheese and egg.
Ingredients:
250g Flour
500ml Milk
2 eggs
Salt to taset
Butter for cooking
For the toppings:
- Shredded Ham
- Gouda or cheese of choice
- an egg
Mix the flour eggs and milk and salt. You can do this in a bowl with a whisk or in a blender / food processor. It is best to do this ahead of time and leave for an hour if possible.
Pour into a crepe pan or non-stick frying pan that has some melted butter in it. Immediately add the toppings of your choice and allow to cook. When the top appears set flip with a spatula or try to flip in the air. Allow to cook on the other side and serve.
